Direct Inward Dialing (DID):
A DID is normally mapped to an ISDN/T1/BRI circuit and come various blocks of numbers.
With an ITSP it is now possible to have a DID which operates with SIP and therefore abe to wok ith pbxnsip.
What are they used for?
• Give everyone a direct callable number
• Give a service which enables direct calling of employees instead of reception or Auto Attendant
• Reduce reception time and allow call directly to the right person
