Understanding the pbxnsip IP PBX Log file:
The section below will show you how to enable the logging of the SIP Packets that are sent from the PBX.
The general process of getting the Logfile to show the SIP packets from your PBX is as follows:
1. Go to the SIP logging settings page by following the path below.
2. Open Admin -> Settings -> Logging
3. In the general setting section set the following settings:
* Log Level to "9"
* Log Length to e.g 500
4. In the SIP Logging section set the following settings:
* Log Other Messages (e.g. INVITE) to "Yes"
* Then Click "Save"
Now that you have set the logging settings. You can move on to viewing the information from the SIP log file. The log file can be accessed through the following path. You can also clear the page by pressing the 'clear' button.
Go to Admin -> Status -> Logfile
Press the 'clear' button.
Now you need to make a call. The information on the call will then get logged into the system.
You can now view this information by going to the status section using the following path.
Admin -> Status -> Logfile
To view the updated log information you need to press the 'reload' button.
It is important to press 'reload' this will give you the updated logging information and show you the SIP Packets that have been sent from the pbx.
